The brothers and a former roommate of Laken Riley’s killer, Jose Ibarra, are set to be deported from the United States. The decision was announced on March 19, 2025, following their guilty pleas to charges related to possessing fraudulent green cards. Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien, was convicted in November 2024 of murdering Riley while she jogged near the University of Georgia campus earlier in the year. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
