Balaji, 26, was found dead in his San Francisco apartment with a gunshot wound to the head in November shortly after he told the New York Times that OpenAi was violating copyright laws. His death was initially ruled a suicide by a medical examiner, however his parents immediately hired a private investigator and did a second autopsy.
