During a Bernie Sanders town hall event hosted by CNN, Cooper introduced audience member Grace Thomas, a local civil rights attorney and Democrat activist. “I want to introduce Grace Thomas. She’s a local civil rights attorney,” Cooper said, only to be met with a smug interjection. “It’s they/them pronouns, actually,” Thomas snapped. This wasn’t satire.
