Shane Lamond (MPD) A new petition is asking for a pardon for Shane Lamond, a former Metropolitan Police Department lieutenant convicted in December 2024 over charges related to his contact with supporters of President Donald Trump, including Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, to prevent clashes between the group and Antifa. Before his arrest, Lamond had been with the department for 22 years and served as supervisor of the Intelligence Branch for his last four years. Lamond often coordinated with Tarrio to keep his group away from areas where far-left militants were counter-protesting to prevent political violence.
