WNBA Atlanta Dream player Brittany Griner is coming under fire for appearing to use racially charged language after fouling out on a play against 2024 Rookie of the Year and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark on Thursday. In her fifth and final foul against Clark, sending her to the bench for the rest of the game, Griner reportedly appeared to elbow Clark in the face. Griner, it can be recalled, was found guilty of drug smuggling with criminal intent and sentenced to nine years in prison in a Russian court in August 2022 after she brought her weed into the country.
