According to The College Fix, “While every public higher education institution in New York is required by law to offer abortions, only nine offer prenatal care referrals.” Of these 78, City University of NY, as well as State University of NY, looked into nine that advertise referrals to the providers who offer parental care. The National Postsecondary Student Aid study even found, according to The Fix, that more than 3,1 million undergrads are parenting, which is a shocking statistic in and of itself. Despite this, only a few of the campus health centers in NY list support services like lactation rooms or childcare basic services for pregnant students or parents of young children.
