California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) filed a $787 million defamation lawsuit against Fox News over its reporting on his phone call with President Trump during LA riots. Newsom is seeking the same amount of money that Fox News was ordered to pay in a settlement to Dominion Voting Systems. Earlier this month President Trump sent Fox News reporter John Roberts a screenshot of his phone call with Newsom after the California Governor said Trump never called him. Trump said he called Newsom during the Los Angeles riots to discuss the National Guard and other security measures to quell the riots.
