On Thursday President Trump toured the renovation of the Federal Reserve Building in Washington DC with Fed Chair Jerome Powell. The cost of the renovations of the building complex has ballooned from by over one billion dollars since the project was started, from $1.9 billion to over $3.1 billion. Almost immediately after President Trump paused in front of the cameras, he called Powell out for going more than one billion over budget. “The 2.7 is now 3.1 [billion],” Trump said. Powell disagreed and interrupted, saying, “I’m not aware of that.” That’s when Trump pulled out the receipts with a document from the Fed. Powell then tried to argue with Trump and say he’s wrong because Trump included a building that was “part of the overall”…
