Robert “Bob” Allen Taylor, age 85, a resident of Laredo, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Bob was born the son of Thomas and Gladys (Bell) Taylor on October 27, 1939, in Weatherby, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Ruth A. (McCoy) Yungen on July 1, 1977, in Davenport, Iowa. She survives of the home. Bob worked for Milwaukee M&W Railroad from 1958 until 1978. He then worked for W.A. Smith Contracting from 1978 until 2001. Lastly, Bob worked for Long Contracting.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth Taylor, of the home; three sons, George Robert Taylor and wife, Mary, Timothy Allen Taylor, and Dewayne Mac Taylor all of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Brenda Kay Ishmael and husband, Chris, of Chillicothe, Missouri; three stepsons, Travis Lee Yungen and wife, Debbie, of Coal Valley, Illinois, Jeffrey Allen Yungen and wife, Mary, of the Quad Cities, and George Brian Yungen of Coal Valley, Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, George, Russell, Raymond, Gerald, Kenneth, and Ivan Taylor; and two sisters, Betty Taul and Janice Miller.
Cremation was held. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
