For the first time since 2015, the US Supreme Court has been asked to overturn a landmark ruling on same-sex marriage. The Supreme Court will take up the case this Fall. Kim Davis, the Christian Kentucky clerk who went to jail for refusing to issue a same-sex marriage license in 2015, filed the petition and argued the high court’s decision in Obergefell v Hodges was “egregiously wrong.” ABC News reported: Ten years after the Supreme Court extended marriage rights to same-sex couples nationwide, the justices this fall will consider for the first time whether to take up a case that explicitly asks them to overturn that decision.
