Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has had enough of Beto O’Rourke’s open defiance of the law. In a blistering Emergency Motion for Contempt, Paxton is asking a Tarrant County court to hold the failed Democrat candidate in contempt, and to throw him in jail, for brazenly violating a court order less than 24 hours after it was issued. On August 8, 2025, Paxton won a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) blocking O’Rourke and his far-left group Powered by People from raising money through ActBlue for the personal expenses of runaway Texas Democrats who abandoned their duties.
