In a chilling case out of Marana, Arizona, 29-year-old Taton Dorfman has been convicted of second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of his 30-year-old girlfriend, Hannah Rogers, and her dog on July 28, 2024. The incident culminated in an overnight standoff with police after Dorfman FaceTimed his ex-girlfriend while lying beside Rogers’ bloody body and confessing to the crime on camera. According to court filings and police reports, the murder took place in the residence where Dorfman and Rogers lived. Dorfman shot Rogers once in the head, killing her instantly.
