As Al.com reported, a beloved retired Auburn University veterinary professor named Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle was hacked to death while walking her dog in Kiesel Park. Schnuelle’s body was discovered in a wooded area in the park on Saturday afternoon. The fact that she took her pet there to exercise near-daily makes the crime even more shocking.
