Maurene Comey filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration on Monday over her firing and demanded to be reinstated. Comey’s lawyers claimed the firing was purely political because her father is the former FBI Director. “Defendants fired Ms. Comey solely or substantially because her father is former FBI Director James B. Comey, or because of her perceived political affiliation and beliefs, or both,” the lawyers wrote.
