In a 4-3 decision, the Georgia Supreme Court this morning declined to hear Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s attempts to reinsert herself into the racketeering case against President Trump and his co-defendants over the 2020 Presidential election. Willis came under scrutiny after it was revealed she was romantically involved with the lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade.  Wade was paid over $650,000 from 2021 through 2023 while the other prosecutors, John Floyd and Anna Cross, were paid $73,000 and $91,000 respectively for the same time period.  This was attributed to more billable hours, but also to a $250 per hour rate for Wade while Floyd’s firm was initially billing $100 per hour less.  Eventually the fees aligned.
