As it was widely expected, Israeli forces have intercepted the Aid Flotilla headed to Gaza, and detained hundreds of activists. The interception occurred in international waters, less than 100 miles from the port of destination after the flotilla ignored ‘final orders to change course’. The Spanish and Italian Navy warships that were escorting the boats turned out to be pure posturing, as they turned back days ago to avoid conflict with Israeli Navy.
