Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed on Saturday that some Transportation Security Administration employees are actually sleeping in their cars, apparently outside of the airports, to avoid spending money on gas and driving home while they work with no paycheck during the government shutdown.  The shutdown became the longest in history on Wednesday after closing its 35th day. The previous record was set in Trump’s first term at 34 days.
