Caden Craig Talbot, 23, a resident of Stet, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
He was born on November 12, 2002, in Indianapolis, the son of DJ and Elicia (Wilson) Talbot.
A mechanic for the last five years, Caden’s primary love was automobiles. His passion extended well beyond his profession, as he traveled the region attending car shows, volunteering at an annual drag race, and repairing and upgrading a fleet of his own vehicles. He had a flare for a bygone era, reveling in the music and movies of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He attended concerts and bar shows across the state, appreciating old country and rock music the way few of his generation ever could. From a young age, he was a prolific artist, most recently applying this talent to pinstriping.
Beyond his hobbies and interests, Caden will be remembered for his unique style, his quirky sense of humor, and, most importantly, the quality of his friendship. Anyone who had the honor of being a part of his life knows how helpful and dependable he was, how he poured every bit of himself into his commitments and relationships, and how much of a joy he was to be around.
He was known to his friends as “Duke.”
Caden is survived by his parents; two brothers, Aaron (Bethanie) Talbot and Therin (Destiny) Alrik; two sisters, Chrystina Belakiewicz and Allyssa Campbell-Talbot; two uncles, Brian (Colleen) Wilson and Brian (Rosie) Talbot; three aunts, Mirantha Hockemeyer, Kimberlee (Ryan) West, and Danita Jo (Chris Parisi) Talbot; and grandfather Michael Wilson and grandmother Danita Talbot.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Pauletta (Walker) Wilson and grandfather Joseph F. Talbot.
A visitation with memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M., with services to follow at 3:00 P.M. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Please remember to share your memories of Caden with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
