Ronnie Gail Head, age 81, of Bucklin, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his residence.
Ronnie was born September 26, 1944, in Bucklin, Missouri, the son of Norman Head and Pearl (Jirmars) Head. He was a lifelong resident of Bucklin and took great pride in his hometown. On December 29, 1984, he was united in marriage to Donna Thompson in Bucklin. She preceded him in death.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran, receiving military honors for his service.
Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Bucklin. He was known as the neighborhood go-to handyman. With an MFA Oil hat on his head, he worked construction, mowed yards all around Bucklin, and did everything the same way he lived: meticulous, particular, and done right the first time. In his younger years, he was a pool shark. Later on, he’d still play, even if it was on his tablet, shaking his head at the “computers that cheat.” He did it the “Ronnie Head Way.” The passing of his beloved wife Donna left him truly heartbroken and lost without her. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally with her again, that his wish has been granted, and that he is finally reunited with Donna for Christmas.
Ronnie is survived by his five children, Ann Harter (Gary) of Polo, Missouri, Tammy Teeter (James Coram) of Brookfield, Missouri, Felicia Casady (Michael) of Columbia, Missouri, Rachel Muntz (Aaron) of Macon, Missouri, and Damon Stephens (Jeremy) of Brookfield, Missouri; grandchildren Heather Harter of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Jessica VanLue (Jeremy) of Columbia, Missouri, Tristan Harter (Trenity) of Lathrop, Missouri, Carl Teeter of Bucklin, Missouri, Jacob Casady (Hannah) of Boonville, Missouri, Megan Casady (Jordan Smith) of Columbia, Missouri, and Branden Jackson of Macon, Missouri; great-grandchildren Hayden Harter, Hadley Harter of Polo, Missouri, Theodore Harter, Tatum Harter of Lathrop, Missouri, and Jaxten VanLue of Columbia, Missouri; siblings Norma McBride (Scott) of St. Catherine, Missouri, and Roger Head (Diana) of Bucklin, Missouri; mother-in-law Mae Thompson of Bucklin, Missouri; sister-in-law Jewell Head of Brookfield, Missouri; brothers-in-law Danny Thompson (Janice) of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Tim Thompson (Deloris) of Brookfield, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna Head; his brother Larry Head; his sister Connie Wehner and father-in-law Junior Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Delaney Funeral Home in Bucklin. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bucklin Masonic Cemetery, with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bucklin Masonic Cemetery.
