Sumith Gunasekera/Image: DHS According to Campus Reform, a professor has finally been fired following his arrest by ICE, who described him as a “criminal illegal alien sex offender.” ICE arrested marketing professor Sumith Gunasekera, who hails from Sri Lankaon, on November 12th. “According to ICE, Ontario police in Canada arrested Gunasekera twice back in 1998 for making death threats and an ‘invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference.’” Gunasekera told police that the sexual offense charge involved a minor. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) notes that Gunasekera entered the U.S. in February 1998, left for Canada, and returned later that year on a student visa.
