Early on Tuesday Morning, President Trump shared a screenshot of a text he received from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte after announcing he had spoken with him and plans to meet with him at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Trump also shared screenshots of texts French President Emanuel Macron sent, pandering and offering Trump a meeting and dinner in Paris on Thursday. This comes after Macron threatened last week to defend Denmark and Greenland from Trump’s attempted acquisition. Other European countries have expressed plans to support Denmark’s defense of Greenland, both through military force and by seeking a middle ground with the Trump Administration to prevent the United States from buying the island.
