Screenshot The US Senate failed to pass a bill to temporarily fund the Department of Homeland Security ahead of the Friday expiration of DHS funding. Without DHS funding, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) can still function largely uninterrupted. Still, other agencies, including the Coast Guard and Transportation Security Administration (TSA), will face disruption. The funding bill did not reach the 60-vote threshold to invoke cloture under the filibuster rule. Only one Democrat, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, voted in favor of invoking cloture.
