Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane has passed away. He was 53 years old. Eric Dane was known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan or “McSteamy.” Last year Eric Dane revealed he was diagnosed with ALS – a disease that affects the nervous system and ultimately leads to loss of muscle control. “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” the family’s statement to Fox News read. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.
