Karen Elaine Cruse, 83, of Moberly, Mo, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Aspire of Moberly. Karen was born October 20, 1942 in Keytesville, MO the daughter of Raymond Edward and Georgia Erma (Smith) Veirs.
Karen worked for Orschelns, ToastMaster, in sales at Scholastics in Moberly for 11 years, and Randolph Home Health Care for 5 years. She was a member of Moberly First Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge.
Karen is survived by her son Steve (Anna) Cruse of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Charlotte (Jim) Cox of Garnett, KS, Vivian Tucker of Linton, IN; grandchildren, Michael Cruse, Maia Cruse, Hazel Cruse and Brandon Burnett; great-grandson Brayden Burnett; nieces, Sheila Jeys, Debbie Cox, Deana Cox, Paulette Atterberry, Elizabeth Veirs, Diane Cross; and nephews, Ed Cox, Jeff Cox, Danny Veirs and Mark Veirs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Pam Cruse on December 24, 2024; brothers Donald Veirs, Jackie Veirs; sisters Betty Patterson, Jeannie Jays; niece Buffy Veirs; and nephews Jackie Lee Veirs, Mike Patterson.
Visitation is Monday, February 24, 2026 from 1-2:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home with the services following at 2:00 p.m., with burial in Bethany Cemetery north of Keytesville, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
