Gabriel James Holloway, 10, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Gabriel was born on November 13, 2015, in North Kansas City, the son of Timothy James and Jennifer Marie (Sykes) Holloway.

Survivors include: his parents, TJ and Jennifer Holloway of Richmond; sister, Julia Holloway of Richmond; two uncles, Jeff Sykes and Chris Sykes; two aunts, Rachel (Daniel) Lacore and Crystal Holloway; paternal grandfather, Jewel Holloway; maternal grandparents, Cindy Sykes and Scott (Michelle) Sykes; maternal great-grandmother, Nancy Harms; great-uncle, Phil Harms; and cousins: Olivia Harms, Lisa Lacore, Alexa Lacore, and Cheyenne Lacore.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Orion Holloway, his sister, Angelina Holloway, and his paternal grandmother, Margaret Holloway.

Gabriel was smart and funny. He loved to cuddle. He loved dinosaurs, dragons, animals, and fishing. Gabriel had dreams of traveling to China and Hawaii. He also wanted to be a missionary and animal rescuer. His favorite colors were blue, green, and red. Gabriel was autistic and had ADD. He was mostly a pretty chill guy who strolled through life at his own pace. When he would get excited, he would laugh like a dolphin. He loved playing games on his tablet while watching movie, reading books, and playing with his toys. Gabriel saved three lives when he died, through organ donation, and is continuing to save lives through his story. He was an amazing boy who is deeply missed by many. Gabriel is HOME with God and Jesus, the only people who could love him more than we do.
