House Democrats have overwhelmingly voted against a bill allowing the deportation of illegal aliens who harm police animals. The Bill to Outlaw Wounding of Official Working Animals Act, known as the BOWOW Act, passed 228-190. Republicans and 15 Democrats voted in favor, while 190 Democrats opposed the measure, the vast majority of their caucus.
