Born July 30, 1940, in Laredo, MO, she was the daughter of the late John A. “Poppy” Sizemore and Betty Leona Roberts Sizemore. On June 27, 1956, she married Richard A. “Dick” Logan and they shared nearly 70 years of marriage until his death on October 27, 2025. Betty was the caregiver of the family and loved every moment of raising five kids. Not only was she a homemaker for her family through the years, she also had worked at Town House Family Restaurant and the American Greeting Card Company. Second only to being there for her family, Betty enjoyed her time working at The Living Center in Marshall where she was able to continue her ministry of caregiving. She and Dick sang in a country and western band and her favorite singer was George Jones.
When she and Dick married, Betty was 14 years old. Being married so young gave her the opportunity to teach herself all the things of life. Even though she was so young, it must have been of God because that love grew stronger every day of the nearly 70-year marriage. Her life centered around her family and she will always be remembered because she was an ever-present help in their life.
Betty is survived by he is survived by three children: Buddy Logan (Laurie) of Clay Center, KS, T.J. Souder (Chris) of Marshall and John Logan of Marshall; 14 grandchildren: Kimberly Daniels, Timothy Reed, Joseph Walker, Tiffany Allen, Emily Hall, Sarah Long, Kaitlyn Jilka, Josh Souder, Andrew Souder, Brittanie Souder, John Logan Jr., Elizabeth Logan, Billy Logan and Jessica Logan; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Skinner of St. Joseph; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
