Anna Mae Twyman, 95, of Prairie Hill, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.
Anna was born April 6, 1931, in Wharton, Texas the daughter of William Franklin and Pearl (Folkes) Sullivan. She graduated from Prairie Hill High School. Anna was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Joe Paul Twyman on November 24, 1950, in Beatrice, NE. They enjoyed 71 years together before Joe’s passing on March 3, 2022. Anna was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and bird watching. She enjoyed traveling. The greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by two children, Steve Twyman and wife Cheryl of Prairie Hill, MO, Jane Fuemmeler and husband Roger of Salisbury, MO; seven grandchildren Carrie Henry (Eldon) of Salisbury, MO, Craig Twyman (Kelly) of Kansas City, MO, Kyle Fuemmeler (Melanie) of Kearney, MO, LeAnn Carter (Aaron) of Salisbury, MO, Regan Fuemmeler of Columbia, MO, Shelly Wood (Jerod) of Kirksville, MO, Ashley Rowe (Spike) of New Cambria, MO; 13 great grandchildren, three sisters Betty Black of St. George, Utah, Erma Nanneman of Marceline, MO, Wanda Morrison of Salisbury, MO, sister-in-law Donna Sullivan of Belton, MO, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers Billy Warren Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Richard Sullivan, sister Patricia Foreman, sister-in-law Julia Horner, one grandson David Joseph Fuemmeler.
Visitation is Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO. Internment will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery in Prairie Hill, MO. Memorial may be made to the Prairie Hill Cemetery Association.
