Penny Jo (Cram) Kopp – age 76 of Jamesport, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Cameron Nursing and Rehab in Cameron, Missouri. Penny was born on January 31, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Georgia (Musser) Cram. She was sealed to Charles Kopp in the Denver Colorado Temple. Throughout her life, Penny was known for her strong faith, kind heart, and resilient spirit. She dearly loved the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and her Savior, and her faith was a guiding light in her life.
Penny worked as a corrections officer, a substance abuse councelor, and later as a custodian for the Denver Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was deeply artistic and creative, enjoying jewelry making, coloring, crocheting, cake decorating, and playing the organ. She loved working with her hands and sharing her talents and cooking for others. Penny was also known for always standing up for what was right and for the strength and determination she showed throughout her life. Above all, Penny loved her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kopp; her parents and other siblings, her grandson Ian, and granddaughter Sarah. She is survived by her sister Nancy Barker of Indiana, her children, Renada Hays of North Carolina, Cathy Simonson (& Danny) of Wyoming, Joe Flanders (& Joyce) of Jamesport, Michael Flanders (& Angela) of North Carolina, Frank Flanders of Cameron, and Andrew Flanders (& Melinda) of Jamesport; 38 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund in care of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Friday, May 29th, 2026 at Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport, MO.
