Mary Catherine Mikle, 64, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home with William W. Harlow officiating. Born October 31, 1961, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Drake and Betty Bacon Drake. Mary lived in Marshall most of her life and worked for many years as a cook at Marshall Headstart. On December 15, 2006, she married Mark Mikle who preceded her in death on July 13, 2022.
Survivors include three children: Courtney Stice (Roger), Nicholas Laxson, and Natalie Laxson (Robert Bakert), all of Marshall; five grandchildren: Hannah, Hayden, Gavyn, Gaige, and Harper; one great-grandson, Roger; one sister, Brenda Persinger of Liberty; two brothers, Steve Drake of Glasgow and Dicky Drake of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Baylie Bakert; two sisters, Karen Land and Phyllis Fisher; and her mom’s longtime companion, Thomas “Red” Ballew.
