John “Jason” Stockman, 51, of Slater, MO, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Slater School District and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born October 21, 1974, in Waverly, he was the son of John Francis Stockman who survives of Marshall and Rosalyn Mitchener Davis who survives of Marshall. Jason lived in Slater his entire life and was a 1993 graduate of Slater High School. On October 21, 1996, he married his high school sweetheart, Leah Miller, and she survives of the home. Jason worked at Eddy Wildlife for 20 years and was currently employed as a water treatment operator for Marshall Municipal Utilities. He was extremely community minded and would help wherever he could. Jason served on then Slater School Board, Slater Booster Club, and was a member of Slater United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Leah; father, John Stockman (Mary) of Marshall, mother, Rosalyn Davis (Joe) of Marshall; stepfather, Anthony Eddy (Peg) of Marshall; two sons, Dylan Stockman (Katrina) of Vilonia, AR and Ian Stockman of Marshall; one sister, Julie Lightfoot (Scott) of Green Ridge; one brother, Scotty Stockman of Kansas City; father-in-law, John Miller (Kay) of Marshall Junction; mother-in-law, Terry Taylor (Jim) of Slater; as well as other extended family members and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
