Marcia T. (Yarc) Franklin, 69, of Kidder, Missouri, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 19, 2026, at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Marcia was born on February 10, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Albert A. and Helen M. Yarc. She attended Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas, and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming. On July 9, 1988, Marcia married the love of her life, Randy Franklin. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and caring heart. She worked at JCPenney before dedicating herself to being a stay-at-home mother, a role she treasured. She later continued her career at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, where she faithfully served veterans until her retirement.
Marcia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to flowers, fishing, trying new recipes and playing games on her phone. In fact, she proudly achieved the number one ranking in the world on one of her favorite games, an accomplishment that always brought a smile to those who knew her. Above all, Marcia’s greatest love was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, but nothing brought her more happiness than being “Grandma” to her beloved grandsons. She was selfless, hardworking and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering love for those around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Marcia will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cathy Yarc. She is survived by her husband Randy Franklin of the home; her children, Mary Franklin of Kidder, Missouri, Katherin Franklin of Kidder, Missouri, and Charles Franklin of Kidder, Missouri; her beloved grandsons, Jacob and James; her siblings, Romona Conaway, Monica Danner, Anita Denton, and Kenny Yarc; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
