Born on September 18, 1950, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert F. Schelp and Evanell Stumpenhaus Schelp. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma. Linda’s biggest passion was fast-pitched softball with the toughest batch of ladies around, and Linda played barefooted most of the time. She was a true outdoors woman working on the farm raising and taking care of her cattle and doing whatever needed to be done. Linda loved her grandpa Otto Schelp, and she followed him around and helped on the farm with everything he did. Family, farm, outdoors and softball were where she wanted to be.

She is survived by three sons: Josh Lovercamp (Mendy) of Sweet Springs and their children, Cole and Kinlea, Jacob Lovercamp of Emma, and Jeff Eshelman (Trisha) of Oklahoma and their children, Drake, Sydney, and Taylor; her siblings: Steve Schelp, Marsha Trautman, Myron Schelp, and Kris Singleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert F. Schelp and Evanell Stumpenhaus Schelp.
