Michelle was born August 23, 1975 in Waverly, Missouri to Larry Leroy Austin and Marietta Mae (Eiserer) Austin. Michelle was baptized at an early age in the Lutheran Church in Norborne, Missouri, her faith was strong. She attended school in Carrollton, Missouri and later achieved her GED. She worked for Dexter Axle, The Carrollton Country Club, and Life Care of Carrollton, where she was the activity director for many years. She enjoyed this position and loved working with the residents.

Michelle loved to cook and bake, and making noodles. She enjoyed baking cookies, cakes and dip chocolate covered strawberries for all her family and friends. She loved being in the presence of babies and children. She was social and enjoyed talking to people, either in person or on the phone. She liked to garden, go on float trips and a good garage sale. Playing bingo at the nursing home with her beloved residents gave her much joy. Being surrounded by her loving family gave her the most joy, including her pets; her dog Brody whom she treated like a child, and her cat Peaches as well.

Michelle’s family was her greatest asset, she was a wonderful mother to her daughter Mariah, She thought the world of her and would do anything for her. Mariah was Michelle’s pride and joy. She was so proud of the young woman that Mariah had become. There wasn’t a day that Michelle didn’t brag about her daughter. Michelle was over the moon when her grandson Beckham Austin Hager came into the world on March 26, 2026. Unfortunately, she only got to spend 5 short months with him. She took advantage of every day she got to snuggle him. Michelle had many cousins that she was very close to and claimed a lot of them as her nieces and nephews. She also had many close friends that she considered family.

Michelle was something different to everyone, but her many positive traits were shared equally with all. She was loving, kind, big hearts, funny, adventurous and above all she cared, she cared for everyone she knew.

On August 24, 2024 she was united in marriage to Juan Walker, whom she dearly loved.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father Larry Austin, paternal grandparents Betty and Charles Austin, maternal grandparents Edgar and Leona Eiserer, aunts and uncles; Mary Beth Eiserer, Connie Stark, Gary Eiserer, Syrus Wagner, John and Phyllis Thomas and cousins Tandy Wagner and Jeff Stark.
