Steven Ray “Bub” Ford, 72, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away, Friday, September 4, 2026 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 14, 1954, in Carrollton, Missouri, son of James Wesley and Betty Jo (Arnold) Ford. On August 23, 1975, he married Linda Sue Miller who survives of the home.

Bub was a graduate of Carrollton High School class of 1972. He worked all his life as a mechanic. He worked at Ward’s Body Shop for 35 years, before opening his own business Ford’s Wash, Weld and Whatever with his son, Wes.

He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather who treasured his family more than anything. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and could always be counted on to be cheering them on. He took great pride in their accomplishments and loved watching each of them grow. Time spent with his family was never taken for granted, and he created memories they will carry with them for a lifetime.

He also had a deep love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time at the lake, where he and his wife could relax, enjoy some cold ones, and spend time with friends on the boat. Those days on the water, surrounded by family and friends, were some of his favorite times. He also cherished his time hunting, finding peace and enjoyment in the woods. Whether outdoors, sitting in a boat at the lake, or enjoying a quiet day in nature, he had a way of appreciating the simple moments that made life special.

He will be remembered most for the love he had for his wife and family, the pride he took in his children and grandchildren, and the many wonderful memories he created with them. His presence, his stories, his laughter and nonsense, and the love he gave so freely will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved him.
