Trixie Merlene Stauch, 84, of Concordia, MO, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026. Trixie was born on November 3, 1941, in Cassville, MO, and she was baptized at a later date.
She remained in Cassville until the age of four when she moved to Springfield, CO, followed by Butler, MO. From there they moved to Sweet Springs, MO, where she graduated in 1959. This is where she met Gerald (Nick) Stauch, who was stationed at Whiteman Airforce Base. Three months after meeting Nick, they were married in Sweet Springs on April 24, 1960. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage until Nick’s passing in 2021.
In addition to being a homemaker and raising their two sons Gerry and Mike, Trixie was a long-time sales representative for Tupperware. This enabled her to work from home while raising her boys. Her outgoing personality made her a successful representative, earning her numerous awards including multiple trips to Florida. After this, she spent time waitressing at various locations and returned to working as a sales representative.
Trixie’s family and many friends describe her as being a hoot and a real spit fire. You never had to guess what she was thinking, and she will always be remembered by saying “I love you” at the end of every conversation, whether in person or by text. She was an avid collector of anything owl related and found it difficult to part with her collection when she and Nick moved from their home in Sweet Springs to their small apartment in Concordia. She was a big enthusiast of Elvis music which was shared by her son Mike.
Trixie was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; mother, Maxine and stepfather, Bob Steele; sister, Ruby Pendergraft; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Ellie) Stauch, Connie (Lowell) Thompson, and Judy (Gerd) Eckhoff.
Survivors include two sons, Gerry (Mischeal) Stauch of Concordia, and Mike Stauch of Sweet Springs; one granddaughter, Crystal (Jeff) McCurry of Springfield, MO; two grandsons, Collin Boan (Caitlyn) of Sweet Springs and Ty Stauch (Katie) of Warrensburg; great-grandson, Connor McCurry of Springfield; two great-granddaughters, Claire McCurry of Springfield and
Laklynn Boan of Sweet Springs; sister, Ruth (John) Guenzler of Villa Ridge, MO; brother-in-law, Ken (Glori) Stauch of Palm City, FL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Concordia Senior Center, Preferred Hospice of Lexington, or the Good Shepherd Auxiliary.
