Donald Henry “Don” Dedeke, 83, of Concordia, MO, died Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 1, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Michael Pottschmidt and Pastor Andrew Lehenbauer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery in Ernestville. No visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to Thomas the Comfort Dog (checks made payable to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church) or ACG Hospice. An online guestbook may be signed at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Don was born on January 17, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Clarence Gustav Dedeke and Erna Marie (Flandermeyer) Dedeke. On June 9, 1973, Don married Betty Haesemeier at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, MO, and they spent many wonderful years together. Don worked for many years on the farm and later at various manufacturing jobs in the area. He loved the Chiefs, going camping and traveling. Don was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia.
Survivors are his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Angela Howard of Concordia, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Blackburn (Joe) of Concordia, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; son, Craig Dedeke; great-granddaughter, Paisley Armstrong; and his beloved dog, Timugen aka Timmy.
