Psalm 91:9-11
“Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”Divine protection is given to every child of God. It is well for us to remember that all those who come to Him are safely tucked away in the shelter of the Most High. But keep this in mind: As the day unfolds, we encounter countless temptations and trials that require the grace of God to get us through. The Lord never guarantees that difficulties won’t be thrust upon those who trust Him.
It is good and well that we have the care of angels watching over us, yet nothing compares to the keen and watchful eye of our great God. The Bible says that even the lowliest bird, an ordinary sparrow, cannot fall to the ground apart from our Father’s notice, and not one of them is forgotten. Are we less valuable than they? Can we not trust the Father to extend the same loving care to you and me?
When troubles come crashing in, doubt rarely lags far behind. Don’t let it take hold! Go immediately to the throne of grace in your time of need. Return there throughout the day. Search for scripture promises and by faith appropriate them as your own—they will be a refuge for your heart and shield for your soul. “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8).
Dear saint, in God’s presence, you are always assured of His care and protection, no matter what may come.
Awaiting His Return,
