The Keytesville R-III School District announced on December 12 that Zane Jacoby, currently the PreK–12 Principal, will be promoted to superintendent this summer. Jacoby joined Keytesville in 2024 and has served as the district’s principal since then. He will officially step into the superintendent role on July 1, 2026.
Jacoby, a 2015 graduate of Westran High School, briefly played football at the University of Missouri before turning to a career in education. He previously taught at Centralia and Westran, gaining experience at each school before joining Keytesville. He says he is excited to continue serving the district in this new leadership role.
He will succeed Will Perkins, who is retiring after 31 years in education, including three years as superintendent at Keytesville. The transition was reviewed with the Board of Education during their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
As PreK–12 Principal, Jacoby has been recognized for his dedication, vision, and ability to build strong relationships with students and staff across all grade levels. The district is confident these qualities will serve the community well as he takes on the superintendent position. Go Tigers!

The Keytesville R-III School District is seeking a new PreK–12 Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should demonstrate:

- The ability to foster a positive teaching and learning environment across all grades
