A woman has been charged with murdering her 11-year-old son by slitting his throat in a motel room following a three-day Disneyland vacation. Saritha Ramaraju, 48, had taken her son, Yatin Ramaraju, on the trip as part of a custody visit. On the morning of March 19, the day she was scheduled to return her son to his father, Ramaraju called 911 at approximately 9:12 a.m. to report that she had killed him and attempted to take her own life by ingesting an unknown substance. When police arrived at the La Quinta Inn in Santa Ana, they found the boy dead in a bed, his throat slit, surrounded by Disneyland souvenirs.
