Republican Senator Jim Banks and Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego have introduced legislation to keep men out of sororities and protect women’s spaces on college campuses. The Freedom of Association in Higher Education Act of 2025 is a bipartisan bill that aims to safeguard college students’ rights to form and join single-sex social organizations, such as fraternities, sororities, and off-campus clubs, without facing discrimination or punishment from the institutions they attend.
