State Senate Minority Leader Jason Pizzo has officially announced he is leaving the Democrat Party and registering as an independent. Pizzo, long viewed as a moderate voice within Florida’s increasingly radical Democrat caucus, delivered a fiery rebuke of partisan politics in a statement confirming he had FedExed his change-of-party registration to Broward County’s Supervisor of Elections.
