Eleven people were injured in a shooting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Saturday night involving a black teen gunman who was shot dead. The incident is being referred to by the media, surprisingly not as a mass shooting, but as an “officer-involved shooting.” The Gun Violence Archive and leftist media outlets typically identify mass shootings as incidents with “a minimum of four victims shot, either injured or killed, not including any shooter who may also have been killed or injured in the incident.” They seemingly do this to inflate the number of so-called mass shootings by including random incidents and gang violence to further their narrative on gun violence.
