Plaintiffs from the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups that sued the state of Alabama over its law to protect children from harmful drugs and body mutilating surgeries have now given up their fight. Parents of several transgender minors initially brought the lawsuit, and later joined by the ACLU and other groups, over the state’s Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act passed in 2022. Alliance Defending Freedom (ADL) shared details following activist groups’ dismissal on Thursday of Boe v. Marshall.
