Former New York prosecutor, judge, and television personality Jeanine Pirro was sworn in on Wednesday as Interim US Attorney for the District of Columbia. President Trump appointed Pirro to the role after Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) derailed Ed Martin’s Senate confirmation. Tillis, who voted to confirm Biden’s radical pick for Attorney General Merrick Garland, told reporters that he opposes the nomination of Ed Martin for DC US Attorney for political reasons.
