In the four days of rioting in Los Angeles, you may have noticed that there is not an American flag in sight, unless it is being burned or spat upon. What you mostly see is the flag of Mexico, the Palestinian flag, and even the Communist symbol flag. Someone must have gotten into the ears of the rioters and told them how absolutely horrible this looks for them because they are now reportedly distributing American flags to rioters in an effort to change their image.
