Rand Paul will be going to the White House picnic this evening after being disinvited over his opposition to Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. Senator Paul has repeatedly criticized Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill because the president wants to raise the debt ceiling. On Wednesday, in remarks to reporters, Senator Rand Paul said he was disinvited from the White House picnic. The Kentucky Senator called it “petty vindictiveness’ in remarks to CNN’s Manu Raju and other reporters on Wednesday. Rand Paul said he was not given a reason and wasn’t sure if the call came down from President Trump.
