Iran launched an overnight missile offensive targeting Tel Aviv, Haifa, Petah Tikva, and surrounding areas. According to Israeli officials, at least five civilians were killed and dozens more wounded in the pre-dawn strikes. Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome system intercepted the majority, yet devastating hits on homes, infrastructure, and even near the U.S. Embassy were reported, according to Reuters. The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv suffered concussion damage from nearby strikes, prompting the temporary closure of the embassy and consulate. Fortunately, no American personnel were harmed.
