Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is undoubtedly plotting a 2028 presidential run, made his intentions known on Friday, calling on Vice President JD Vance to name a time and place for a debate. This came in response to a news conference Vance held yesterday in Los Angeles amid the ongoing riots that the Trump Administration has sent thousands of National Guard troops and hundreds of Marines to quash. Newsom is letting his city burn and attempted to stop Trump’s federalization of National Guard troops with a lawsuit. This won’t help his chances in the next presidential election.
