The US Supreme Court on Friday handed President Trump a temporary win in the battle over his tariffs. The high court denied a request to expedite a tariff challenge from the toy companies suing Trump. The toy companies, Learning Resources and hand2mind tried to leapfrog the lower courts and take the tariff fight directly to the Supreme Court. The family owned businesses argued that President Trump does not have the authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to unilaterally impose tariffs. The Supreme Court denied the request to expedite the challenge, giving President Trump the standard 30 days to respond.
